As vice president of Cable Services, Carol Edwards has one overriding goal: ensuring that Arbitron Cable meets your needs. Carol is the point person for customer satisfaction as well as the leader of Arbitron Cable's national sales team.

As one of the first members of the Arbitron Cable team, Carol has honed her knowledge of cable advertising sales and her expertise in using research to sell cable television since 1994. She has served as an account executive and trainer, senior account manager and sales manager. Her promotion in 2001 to the new position of vice president of Cable Services expands and supports the services Arbitron Cable offers to its customers.

"We want all of our customers to receive a maximum return on their investment in qualitative research, and we hope to exceed their expectations for service by providing unparalleled cable-focused sales training and consultation," says Carol.

Six years of cable ad sales experience with Continental Cable, MediaOne, and AT&T Media Services, as Account executive and Senior account executive and one year ad agency experience as an AE have provided Beth with a valuable big-picture perspective of the cable business. Beth also brings over 10 years' experience outside the cable industry in sales and management.

Michelle Lorenz is well prepared to provide her clients with the tools they need to sell effectively. Michelle's knowledge stems from her academic work and her four years in media sales. She holds a Bachelor's degree in marketing and a Master's degree in broadcast news and communications. After two years at a radio station, Michelle joined Comcast Cable and was the recipient of Comcast's "Most Proactive, Tenacious, Dynamic Salesperson Award."

"Research is vital in showing that cable is the right medium to reach a client's customers. Clients need to understand who their customers are and what they're watching. My goal is to give AEs the tools they need to succeed."

David Oglevee brings to his clients a unique blend of extensive media sales experience with a thorough understanding of qualitative research applications. David gained his media sales and research experience during 13 years working for INTEREP and Westwood One Radio Networks. He joined Arbitron in 1994 as one of the first Scarborough trainers ever hired, and during that time successfully met the needs of more than 260 clients in 40 Western markets from Washington State to Mexico. Clients rated his work so highly—he scored a 9.5 out of a possible 10—that he received Arbitron’s Top Training Customer Satisfaction Award for 2000.

Helen began her career at Arbitron on the Agency/Advertiser Services division, where her primary responsibility was marketing radio and television services to her Midwest customers. During that time, Helen also sold audience estimate data to the cable television industry. Her love of that industry took Helen to New York in 1996 to work exclusively with these customers, selling and providing extensive training on local market qualitative services. In 1999, Helen was named Vice President of Arbitron Cable. Helen now manages special projects, including the 2002 Media Insight advertiser perceptual study.
